NaNoWriMo: Zoonosis Day 3

Today was a productive day, coming in at 6701 words.  I’ve been surprised at how I’ve been able to write quickly, but without veering to much off the path I’d set out for myself.  Of course, there’s lots of editing to be done, but that can wait.  Here’s today’s snippet:

Karlis watched the sleeping man’s face, but he saw nothing. Only the dark circles beneath his orbits offered any clues, as if he’d been stranded on the open seas for some time, or sick perhaps. Karlis could only wait until he woke to learn something about him.

Steady on, my NaNo-Friends!
